Chelsea Billings - Novice Coach

Chelsea is a graduating senior from Sehome High School , and will be attending Western Washington University in the fall.  She was captain the year her high school team won the state title.   Chelsea was a seven-year member of BBST, starting in the novice group and working her way up through the seniors.  She has also worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor at both Arne Hanna and Bayside Swim Club.

Chelsea is an extremely friendly and outgoing person, and open communication is a top priority for her.   Her number one goal is to have fun, while at the same time building solid foundations in areas such as stroke work, flip turns, and technique, which all are key ingredients in the recipe for a successful swimming career.

Some of the fondest memories Chelsea has are during her participation with BBST. During her time with BBST she has gained self-confidence, goal-setting skills, and dear friends.

“I see being the novice coach as a way for me to give back to BBST-ers of the future all that I have been so fortunate to receive, and I cherish the opportunity to do so.  It is my goal to continue that positive experience and help all of you get the most out of it that you can. Swimming is a wonderful sport and we have an incredible group of people here on BBST. So much potential, so many possibilities lie before each and every one of you!  I can’t wait to get to know you all and help you discover what you can do.”  - Chelsea Billings
