Bellingham finishes in 4th place at Apple Capital Meet  6/5/09  WENATACHEE, WA - BBST brought 77 swimmers to compete in the 33rd annual Apple Capital Swim Meet in Wenatchee, May 29-31, 2009.  The Blowfish swam considerably well, setting 9 BBST team records, 39 PNS Championship Time Standards, and setting 48 new BBST Top 5 times.  Setting new Team Records for BBST were: Sam Hunter (8&Under - 200 Free, 100 Breast), Cole Avery (11-12 - 800 Free, 100 Back, 200 IM), Camorah King (13-14 - 50 Breast), Patrick Gregory (13-14 - 50 Breast), Jessica Vlasic (15-18 & Open - 400 Medley Relay), Erin Parkinson (15-18 & Open - 400 Medley Relay), Aly Fell (15-18 & Open - 400 Medley Relay), and Ali Fisher (15-18 & Open - 400 Medley Relay).

BBST team records fall at Pac Coast Invitational   5/20/09  FEDERAL WAY, WA - BBST's Bliss Cui and Taylor Shewchuk started the long course season out strong with new BBST team records.  Bliss set a new 9-10 girls team record in the 200 breast (3:37.41).  Taylor set records in the 200 breast (3:11.52), 200 medley relay, and 200 free relay.  Combining with Taylor in the 200 medley relay for 11-12 girls were Gwen Roley, Olivia Nielsen, and Audrey Shenkin (2:26.65).  Gwen, Taylor, Olivia, and Kailee Richan combined for a team record in the girls 11-12 200 free relay (2:19.42).  The 13-14 boys 200 medley relay team record was broken by Andy Small, Gus Evans, Alex Curtis, and Patrick Gregory (2:09.19).     Individual Results     Complete Results


Kim Jeter sets new Pacific Northwest Masters Record  4/13/09  FEDERAL WAY, WA - BBST's Kim Jeter, 37, set a new All-Time PNA Masters Record in the 100 Freestyle, 54.06, in the 35-39 age division at the Pacific Northwest Masters Championships in Federal Way.  Her time is the All-Time fastest 100 freestyle for PNA Masters swimming in any age category.  Kim's time is currently 2nd in the Nation in that event.  She also won the 50 free (25.38), 200 free (2:00.79), 500 free (5:23.90), and 100 fly (1:05.55).
